Midii sat in quiet reverie, she remembered so much, yet she felt so little, her heart had been locked away for so long. She had caged it for so long, she remembered her Aunt, and the things that the poor woman had done in the name of love. She knew Treize had loved her aunt, it had been visible in his eyes, but he had been trying to return humanity from the brink of war, he hadn’t had the time for romance. She still remembered the advice her aunt had given her, but she had never thought anything of it until now, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to ask for help. Help was something she had been offered time and time again, but being a spy, she had grown not to trust people; maybe it was time to remedy that.

Her hand moved to the vid phone, her fingers dialing the number she had memorized so many years ago. Her pale blue eyes conveyed apology when the startled face of her aunt appeared on the screen.

“I’m sorry, but I need help,” Midii croaked as the tears fell from her eyes. “It’s important I promise.”

“Shh, Midii, tell me what’s wrong,” Une asked, her eyes conveying concern for her niece.

“I have information you may want, but by giving it to you people could die, but if I don’t people will die,” Midii said softly her mask of ice completely shattered as she spoke to her only female relative.

“What does your heart tell you,” Lady Une asked softly.

“To help you,” Midii said quietly.

Relena cringed as the man pulled her to her feet, his large hand bruising her arm, and the sudden movement irritating her injuries.

“Get up, Princess, your presence is requested,” the man sneered, his breath turning her stomach.

“I would think that it’s more of a demand, not a request,” she countered as the man pulled her along behind him.

“Shut yer trap, be glad that your alive,” he spat in her face as he turned to face her.

She looked around at her surroundings as he pulled her into the meeting room, before throwing her to the floor. Her mind taking note of all the significant details she could notice, the plaques on the wall, the men who stood at attention. She screamed as she came face to face with the man truly behind her capture.

Trowa stood staring at the horizon, his mind in the clouds as he waited for her to answer his silent call. He had been so shocked when she had allowed him to hold her in his arms, the feel of her lips against his. Her body fitted so perfectly with his, they were each a half of the same whole, soul mates destined for each other. But he had made such a mistake when they were younger, he had left her alone, shattering her heart in the process, he could never expect to be forgiven.

“Penny for your thoughts,” Christof asked softly.

“I don’t deserve to be here with her,” was the almost inaudible reply.

“She would be destroyed if you left,” the young man said as he moved to stand next to the brooding Gundam pilot.

“Do you know that for sure, she would most probably be better off without me, she would be able to have the best things in life.”

“You’re wrong there, Trowa. When you left her alone she was destroyed, it took her so long to return to a semblance of normality, she was lost. Her mind disappeared for a time being, but then they came looking for her again, and she returned but it wasn’t her, not the girl I remembered. She was cold and distant, her eyes didn’t hold any hint of joy, they were empty, my heart broke that night when she went with the willingly. She wasn’t Midii anymore, she was Ice,” Christof said with a sigh as he ran a hand through his platinum hair.

“It couldn’t have been that bad, I was only a nameless soldier, she told me to my face that she hated me,” he said softly, a tear in the corner of his eye.

“It was, I remember it clearly as well,” Christof said softly.

“He’s speaking the truth Trowa, unlike myself, Christof, still believes that you are worthy of Midii’s affections. He believes that you deserve a chance to right the wrong’ you committed all those years ago,” Damien said as he emerged from the shadows.

“I believe you, but I don’t believe in myself, I’ve been alone far to long to know how to show affection, it was never shown to him when I was younger. I closed my emotion’s off, and now I have trouble dealing with them,” he whispered to the wind.

“I’ve talked with Lady Une, we are to make our way to Preventer Headquarters,” Midii said as she suddenly appeared in their midst, her cheeks tear stained, and her heart lighter than before.

“Why would you talk with Lady Une,” Trowa asked in surprise.

“Lady Une is family,” Midii said without turning to face him. “She’s the sister of my father, we’ve only met in person once, but still we understand each other.”

“I never knew that,” Trowa whispered, “I thought Lady Une was alone in the world.”

“There are some things you can’t see with the naked eye, we all hide pain, and we all hide secret’s some bigger than others,” Damien said before Midii had a chance to speak up.

“We leave in the morning, Trowa you are welcome to join us,” Midii said before returning the way she had come.

“Little Princess, ready to speak yet,” the man asked her, the ring of his boot heel’s echoing through the small room.

“Never, I will never tell you anything,” she croaked before a sharp pain spread through her side and she whimpered from the pain.

“The Little Princess has a backbone, I’m surprised, I always took you for a sniveling weakling,” he crowed, his pale blonde hair obscuring the lines of his face from view as he continued to cackle in evil glee.

“Appearance’s can be deceiving,” was her scathing reply as she felt another kick to her already bruised ribs.

“You will spill all your secrets to me by the time this is over, I will know everything about you, from your favorite color, to your worst childhood memory. I will know every intimate detail about you,” he said before leaving the room and her scream’s echoed through the building.

“I will never tell you anything, never in a million years, I would rather die than betray my people,” Relena screamed through tears of pain.

“You will tell me about the infrastructure of the Preventer Organization and the United Earth Alliance’s government,” he said moving closer to her, his hand pulling her head back by her hair.

Heero stood staring out over the balcony, his fingers idly playing with the golden wedding band as he gazed unseeing at the stars. He missed her so much, and his heart twisted at the thought of what those ruffians could be doing to her. When he had entered their home to be greeted by the sight of bloodshed his heart had frozen in fear for his wife. The servant’s body’s had liberally dotted the stairs and hallway’s leading to their room, and when he had opened the door with trembling fingers he found the slain body of Pagan, Relena’s most trusted servant.

“Where are you,” he asked the silent sky, as footsteps approached him from behind.

“Lady Une’s calling us in, she has a lead I think,” Duo said from the door, his eyes filled with sorrow at the blatant pain on his friends face. “We’ll find her Heero, we will find her I promise you.”

“I know, it’s just I keep thinking about what those ruffians could be doing to her, she’s in their hands, and we know nothing about them,” Heero said his teeth gritted.

“I don’t know what you’re feeling but I can take a wild guess, if it were Hilde, I know I’d be a wreak, Heero buddy, we’re here for you, you can talk to us,” Duo said before leaving the room heading towards the conference room.

“I know that,” Heero whispered before following Duo from the room, his emotionless mask back in place.

“Gentlemen, please take a seat, I would like to introduce to someone who is going to be very helpful in this new course of action we are taking,” Lady Une said as she stepped away from the door and allowed someone else to enter. A young woman with platinum blonde hair, a young woman they had seen before.

“HER!!!”

“My name is Midii Une, I have valuable information you may want to listen to me first,” she said softly.

“You may want to listen to my sister,” Damien said as he stepped through the door Christof and Trowa in tow.
