He woke to the incessant blare of his alarm clock, and an empty bed. A small indentation left by her weight still marking her territory. Her grinned at the evidence of her presence in his life, before stumbling to the bathroom to quickly complete his morning ritual. He threw an amused glance at the covered mirror; remember her protests about its presence as he brushed his teeth, his fingers quickly touching his cheek to check the amount of stubble, which had grown overnight. He was already running late, he didn’t have the time to remove it, he decided before leaving the small bathroom to continue with his normal morning ritual.
He left the small apartment with a rare smile on his face, a tune running through his head as he all but skipped to the garage. Today was their three month anniversary, and he had so much planned for her; a candlelit dinner, a walk along the bitch, a night under the stars.
“Morning Ms. Broch,” he said in greeting as he trotted past the astonished landlady, her hefty bag falling to floor as she dropped it in her astonishment. The sound followed by hysterical giggling as doubled over laughing.
“Henry,” Trowa nodded at the security card, his mind puzzled when the normally surly guard had to stifle a chuckle.
“Well then,” Trowa muttered to his car as he pulled the keys from his pocket. His attention focused on the small scratch, which had appeared overnight. Oblivious to the sight of his reflection in the shiny paint.

As he arrived at Preventer HQ, expertly maneuvering his vehicle into his accustomed spot. Once again missing the sight of his reflection in the reflective surfaces all around him as he proceeded to the foyer, past the stunned secretary, and to the stairwell doors. He hadn’t really trusted the elevators in HQ since he was stuck in one for five hours while the maintenance team tried to fish him out. All attempts to leave it blocked by Heero’s new security system.
He passed no one as he made his way up to the seventh floor, and his office. His body well accustomed to the trek he made it in short order. His long legs often taking the steps two at a time.
When he finally reached the seventh floor, his pushed his body against the heavy door forcing it open. He stopped as the entire floor burst out in laughter. Duo at the forefront of the group, doubled over, cackling madly, a hand pointed wildly in his direction.
He scowled at the assembled group for a moment before turning on his heel and heading for the nearest mirror, his eyebrows flying up to meet his hairline as he surveyed the bright red clown nose which had been masterfully attached to his own.
“MIDII!!!” he roared as he turned to find her impish figure laughing with the rest, before she turned and bolted from the room, a Happy April Fools thrown over her shoulder for good measure.
