Ok, hiya! This is your hostess, Sora ‘Skye’ Darkness! This is not my first T/M story, the other one is on my computer- I just have to figure out how to open it. (-- --) Anyway, in the honor of Christmas I will be doing a couple, or as many as I can get in before Christmas, stories about Midii and Trowa at Christmas. Have fun with the first one; it was fun to write!
Disclaimers- I do not own Trowa, Midii, GW, or “All I Want Is You This Christmas”. They belong to their respectful owners, who are very bright. -- -- unlike me.
Midii sighed as she stared into the flames of the crackling fire. There were so many reason why this was the best night of the year… so many reasons. She felt the person behind her rustle his arm. She turned around and blue eyes, so usually ice to so many now soft, and green eyes met.
“Trowa… it’s not fair.” Trowa bent down and kissed her softly.
“I know. But it’s nothing we can do. We fight for different sides Midii. This is the only time of year they both give us a break.”
Midii groaned. She hated when he was right. She wished he would be wrong, and they could be together forever, everyday, not just one night a year.
“Midii, it will be over soon. They we can be together. But hey, we survived another year.” She cuddled closer to Trowa.
“Yeah, but for now? Keep me warm.” She looked out the window, the snow falling softly, for the world was a peace- though it was only one day.
Snowy night
Where it's warm here by the fire
Here with you (here with you)
I have all that I desire
It's been a long year
But somehow we got by
Now it's Christmas Eve
And love is on our side
Trowa looked down at the beauty he held within his arms. God only knows how he got her back. He had been so wrong, that winter night. He should have known… family. Family was important. He knew that now. Her eyes glistened in the fire and Trowa knew that he could have everything else in the world, but they could never equal her. He listened to her breathing softly.
“Trowa, do you hear them?”
“Hear what?”
“The children, the angels, they are all singing. It’s a wonderful song.” Trowa smiled. He had gotten worried; he thought someone had found them. But it was just the angels and children. He closed his eyes and listened. Yes, he did hear them. The soft breathing of her, the crackling of the fire, the snow whistling, and the far-away caroling, they were the voices of the angels and children, and the song they were singing, was just for the two of them. Being here with Midii, he though, has to be the greatest joy ever.
don't need a hundred gifts beneath
the tree (the tree)
Don't you know the best thing you could give to me?
Nothing else will do
All I want is you this Christmas (This Christmas, this Christmas)
Children sing (Children sing)
Christmas carols at our door (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Spreading joy (Spreading joy)
That's what Christmas time is for
Midii looked up at
Trowa, who had his eyes closed, and smiled. He listened to her, and was
listening to the song. Midii took the time and looked around. It wasn’t much;
they couldn’t afford two apartments each, just a bed, couch, Christmas tree,
fireplace, a fridge and a table. They only lived here for one day a year- but
when the war was over- they would stay together forever. She would wait for
that day- she would have to. Trowa was all she had; he was her survivor. He
saved her when she was little, and saved her again when they were older. It was
a miracle the second time. Her love for him hadn’t been enough. She looked up
at Trowa and smiled. But his love for her was.
“Thank you Trowa.” Trowa opened his
eyes, slightly puzzled.
“For what?” Midii smiled widely.
“For being so wonderful, and being
you.”
Though we
don't have much
You've got me and I've got you
And with a little faith
Miracles come true!
Trowa hugged her warmly from behind and she let out a content sigh. He knew that Midii was tired, but wouldn’t sleep. He wouldn’t either. They wanted all the time they had to be spent together. He looked up on the mantle of his friend and their partners. They took it all for granted. That they could look at the one they loved everyday, and not worry if they were still alive. That they didn’t have to look at a photograph, and worry about fighting them in battle. They did. They had to worry about it everyday. He looked at the dying embers of fire and saw so many memories. Of their childhood, and the last two Christmases spent together. He would cherish them forever- because he loved Midii, and Midii alone. Nothing could change that.
“I love you Midii, you know that?” She opened her eyes and smiled at him.
“Of course I know that. I love you too Trowa- now and forever.”
don't want
the love of any other girl
I want only one thing in this whole wide world
Nothing else will do
All I want is you this Christmas (this Christmas, this Christmas)
Midii stood up and relit the fire, then went and sat next Trowa, her head on his shoulder. It was like a snowy mountain, large and beautiful. His shoulder was just like the rest of him. He was so tall… and he was handsome, in her eyes. She looked up and her eyes twinkled. She looked over to Trowa, his face lit by the fire, and she knew she was going to enjoy her addition to the house.
“Trowa?”
“Hm?”
“Look up.” She watched him look up at the mistletoe above them. He looked down at her with an amused expression on his face.
“When did that get there?”
“Right before you. Now shut up.” She bent over and kissed him.
Cheek to
cheek
The lights are low
A kiss beneath the mistletoe
Your face lit by the fire's glow
That's all I want tonight
Trowa
looked over at Midii, sleeping softly. The sun was rising on this Christmas
morning, and she looked like an angel lying under the covers. He bent over and
kisser her bare skin. Her eyes fluttered open and laid on him.
“Merry Christmas Midii.” She smiled
and yawned.
“Merry Christmas. Now, what did you
get me?” Trowa laughed at her little girl antics. She was just like a little
girl at times.
“Midii, for that you are going to
have to wait.” Midii wailed in protest.
“Trowa, I WANT MY PRESENT NOW!” She
jumped on top of him and he looked into her eyes. They were dancing, and Trowa
smiled. He knew she would do that, and that was the only reason he had said he
wouldn’t give it to her. He wanted to see her eyes dance. He kissed her softly
to get her off him.
“Ok Midii, just give me a minute.”
He got out of the bed and removed a plank in the wood. Out of it he pulled a
slender box. Midii gasped, and Trowa could have laughed. He knew what she
thought it was. He handed the box to her. “Merry Christmas.”
She
opened the box and was puzzled. Inside their was a cross, but there was
something different about it.
“Turn it over.” He said. He couldn’t
wait to she her reaction. It had been very hard to get this. He watched her as
she gasped. On the other side was an engagement ring, put into the cross. Trowa
smiled widely.
“It would have been strange for you
to have been dating no one then be engaged. So, when the war is over, we’ll
take the ring out- and you may where it on your hand, but till then, you can
where it around your neck, along with another momentum of me.” He saw Midii
grin.
“But Trowa, I haven’t even said yes
yet.” He paled. He hadn’t though she would turn him down.
“Midii, will you give me the honor?” Trowa watched her ‘think’ about it hard.
Sometimes she could be so difficult. But, it was another reason he loved her so
much.
“Well Trowa, I thought about I hard-
and I have made my decision. Yes.” Trowa scooped her up in his arms and kissed
her as she giggled madly.
Nothing
else will do
